I have Instagram to thank for this one. This was one of those rare times where my expectations matched the in-person experience. The in-person experience at Old Friend Photo Booth was delightful. I anticipated there to be a line, but to my surprise and luck, there was such thing. Off to a good start.
I nearly walked by the booth because it fit so well into the neighborhood.
The line was maybe 5 people deep, which I don’t consider a line. A couple was taking photos for their save the dates with their wedding info sharpied on a piece of paper. How sweet
And then it was my turn,
If you’re in the city and feeling spontaneous, I’d highly recommend. Their Instagram is helpful outlining posing and background instructions.

One more thing, I really enjoyed this piece by Mikala Jamison on pilates culture. The discussion in the comments is worth reading too.
So fun, next time I'm in the area, I'll drag the fam!
ALSOOOOOO thanks for that Pilates read, such a good convo starter. Pilates has EXPLODED in HCMC, and you can't take a class for less than $35, which is prohibitive to the average Vietnamese person. Also, they're all contemporary and not classic, which will cost you even more. Not to even get into the fact that it's a trend lumped in with cycling, crossfit, etc. that have all reared their ugly heads in this mostly developed city but still a-ways-to-go country, where no one is properly trained, so no one knows what they're doing. Ugh it really boils my blood. Whewwwwww, I'll stick with my little corner gym and keep minding my business.
I DO love Pilates though, and stand by it being the fastest way to recomp your body in combination with progressive overload.
